FAQ
Why one-time instead of a subscription?
A tab manager stores data on your machine and runs on your machine — there are no server costs to pass on. Subscriptions for local tools are a business-model choice, not a necessity. We charge once, fairly.
What exactly happens when the trial ends?
Saving new collections and snapshots pauses. Everything you already saved stays visible, restorable and exportable forever. Your data is never held hostage to a payment.
Where is my data stored?
In your browser profile's local database (IndexedDB), plus a daily JSON backup in
Downloads/TabArk/. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. The only network request TabArk ever
makes is verifying your license key with Gumroad when you activate.
Can I import from Toby / OneTab / Session Buddy?
Yes — export from your current tool and drop the file into TabArk's import. Toby JSON, OneTab text, Session Buddy JSON and bookmarks HTML are all supported. There's also a free Toby → bookmarks converter that runs entirely in your browser.
What if I use multiple computers?
Your license key works on all computers you personally use. Data itself stays local to each machine by design — move it with the JSON export/import when needed.
